About the Fellowship

Intuition is a Silicon Valley, venture-backed AI robotics company. We build the deployment layer for industrial robots and run it in production with partners like KUKA and Midea. The founding team comes from UC Berkeley and Stanford AI labs and from Google, Apple and NASA.

The Research Fellowship is for master's and PhD students who want their thesis to run on a real robot doing real work, not only in simulation. You bring the research question. We bring the robot, the data, the compute, a live deployment site, and a team that will argue with you every week.

What You'll Do

• Own one thesis-scale research question in embodied AI, end to end.
• Train and evaluate on our robot platform, robot data and egocentric first-person data.
• Test your method in a real deployment scenario at an industrial site, with our engineers next to you.
• Meet your Intuition mentor every week. Write it up, publish it, present it.

What We're Looking For

• Master's or PhD student in robotics, machine learning, CS or a related field, with a thesis or research project to place.
• Something you built that we can look at: code, a paper, a robot, a demo.
• Comfortable on real hardware, or eager to get there.
• Enough time to do it properly, typically a thesis semester or more, with your advisor on board.
• Fluent in English. Mandarin is a plus for the Shenzhen and Shanghai sites.

How It Works

• Apply below. It takes about ten minutes.
• If it fits, a call with a founder, then we agree the project scope together.
• You sign a short fellowship agreement covering data use, IP and publication. Your university signs where it needs to.
• The fellowship is unpaid. The resources are the grant, and we ask that you cite Intuition in what you publish.
